SUNY Cortland expands campus offerings with CBORD’s Webfood(R) Online Ordering Service

Friday, March 12, 2004

SUNY Cortland (Cortland, NY) recently added the Webfood Online Ordering Service to its campus-wide offerings to allow students, faculty and visitors the ability to order meals online.  Webfood will be available on the SUNY Cortland campus beginning March 15th, 2004. The initial implementation includes two on-campus locations - Raquette Pizza, an eat-in/take-out/delivery foodservice operation and the Caleion Room, a sit-down, fine-dining facility.

The Webfood Online Ordering Service from CBORD(R) is an Internet-based dining application designed to improve the service quality, efficiency and ultimately the profitability of campus dining operations.  Webfood allows campuses to accept orders from customers via a web-based interface. The orders are transmitted directly to food prep areas at the appropriate time based on the customer’s preferred pickup or delivery time. Dining managers monitor the process and update menus as necessary.

SUNY Cortland has rolled out an entire marketing plan to help inform their customers about Webfood and the convenience it brings to the campus.   SUNY Cortland has been a CBORD campus card system customer since April 1987, and currently has the CBORD Odyssey PCS(TM) Campus-wide card system across their entire site.  Webfood Online Ordering Service is integrated with the Odyssey PCS system, so that SUNY Cortland cardholders have the opportunity to use their campus card to pay for orders as well as check their balances on-line any time.
