Over the next two months, the Smart Card Alliance will be hosting some events geared toward the financial services and security industries. The first is a webinar designed to help merchants and acquirers adapt from magnetic stripe cards to EMV chip cards. This free webinar, entitled EMV for Merchants and Acquirers: U.S. Migration Considerations, will take place on Thursday, October 6 at 1 p.m. EDT. read more »Department of Homeland Security Sec. Pistole announced the expansion of TSA PreCheck, a passenger pre-screening initiative, to additional airports across the country following the program’s success at seven pilot locations. read more »Pethealth Inc. announced the roll out of an ISO-standard MiniChip for use with companion animal RFID applications.
