Secure notarization through biometrics

One area of business often overlooked when thinking about security is notarization. The National Notary Association (NNA) teamed up with US Biometrics to enhance NNA’s Enjoa(r) tool. With US Biometrics, they will be able to perform electronic transmissions of notarizations safely.

This press release only outlines the partnership, but lacks information as to what biometric they support or how. However, a Notary is pretty important, and the information that may pass through their hands can be critical. The presence of biometric technology in this industry was inevitable. Vision-Box, a biometrics solutions provider, has come out with an automatic border control e-gate that supports multimodal biometric authentication.

This new e-gate is a thin system that contains vb i-match, a single sourced design that is modular and flexible and can be adapted to business requirements and infrastructure constraints that would otherwise disrupt passenger flow. It has the ability to cope with industry standards such as ICAO. The e-gate supports iris, fingerprint and facial biometrics.
