Evolis Expands Business in the Americas, Opens US Office

Ft. Lauderdale – March 2005 – Evolis Card Printer announces the grand opening of its new branch office in the United States and the appointment of Gerardo Talavera as Managing Director for the Americas. The new branch was opened in January 2005 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL within the Miami metro area. The office is Evolis’ base of operations for sales and customer service for the company’s North, Central and South American clients. This new location will also act as a warehousing plant for all Evolis products, which means Evolis will now be capable of supplying its customers in the Americas even more rapidly than before.

“Opening this new office is a great opportunity for Evolis and for our existing and future customers. We now have the means to more efficiently approach vertical markets in the Americas and therefore maximize our business growth and profitability. We’ll also be able to better support and service our customers in both the US and Latin America thanks to this new branch,” says Emmanuel Picot, Evolis’ President.

Evolis has appointed Gerardo Talavera Managing Director of the new office. Mr. Talavera officially joined Evolis in May 2004, bringing nearly a decade of international business expertise in the identification industry to the organization. Gerardo Talavera’s career has included several successes in Latin American business development, new product development, and sales channel expansion. Prior to joining Evolis, Gerardo served as International Sales Director for Identatronics, Inc., a leading producer of identification badges and ID management software. As a member of the company’s management team, he led Identatronics’ profitable international sales team and worldwide network of distributors. His experience will be useful as Evolis continues to penetrate new markets in the American continent and to expand in delivering printing solutions for business improvement.

Emmanuel Picot, Evolis President adds, “Gerardo’s appointment shows that Evolis is committed to recruiting the best talent in the identification industry. We are confident this new office, under Gerardo’s leadership will rapidly advance Evolis’ position as a leading supplier of card printers and ID solutions in the identification industry.”
