Washington University in St. Louis converts to CBORD

Thursday, April 21, 2005

CBORD’s service reputation was a key element that led Washington University, St. Louis, MO, to award the company a contract to replace its aging campus card system. Implementation is scheduled to take place in June.

Ithaca, New York - The CBORD Group, Inc, announced that Washington University in St. Louis has chosen CBORD to replace its current campus card system with CBORD’s Odyssey Privilege Control System (PCS) - The Enterprise System for Campus Life. The university chose CBORD because of the functionality available in Odyssey PCSTM as well as the company’s excellent relationship with its clients and its reputation for quality service. The implementation of Odyssey PCS at Washington University is scheduled for June 2005.

Washington University in St. Louis, a leading teaching and research institution founded in 1853, was looking to replace an aging campus card system with one that offers the product functionality they want to handle their meal plan configurations as well as reporting requirements. CBORD understood their campus dining needs, and could provide the software they were seeking. In addition, as the Director of Auxiliary Enterprises at Washington University, Tara Bone, noted, “Odyssey PCS will give the university the means to expand the use of our campus ID card beyond tracking meal plans, if we so choose.” She cited the company’s reputation for service as a key element in Washington University’s decision to award the contract to CBORD: “the positive feedback we received from current CBORD clients was a determining factor in our decision. She concluded: “we look forward to our transition to Odyssey PCS.”

CBORD is one of the world’s leading suppliers of campus card, housing, and foodservice management systems for the College & University market. Odyssey PCS is designed to help Colleges & Universities increase revenue, speed up transaction time, and improve overall customer service. Bruce Lane, Executive Vice President of CBORD, commented that this “is an exciting new customer” for CBORD, and “the fact that Washington University went through the due diligence process and came up with so many great reasons to choose CBORD is gratifying and a testament to the product, service, and people at our company.”
