Taiwan's largest government owned bank orders Todos data systems

Tuesday, May 10, 2005

Taiwan’s largest government owned bank Bank of Taiwan has ordered Todos Data System AB’s (Todos) security solutions for remote authentication of bank customers at Internet bank and telephone bank. The order is an important breakthrough for Todos in the Taiwanese market.

Todos’ CEO, Maw Tsong-Lin: “ To acquire such a prestigious order in an open tender process in the highly competitive Taiwanese market, clearly shows the potential Todos has in other markets as well. Todos strength is the wide range of end-user devices that could be used by the banks for segmentation of their customers to optimise the services and the costs.”

Todos will deliver its remote authentication solution Todos eCode™ consisting of two Todos eCode Central Systems, 10 000 Printed OTPs and 10 000 Todos eCode Authenticators.

Further orders from Taiwanese banks are expected to follow in short; Todos’ partner in Taiwan, FeSC’s CMO Richard Chen declares: “This proves that Todos eCode, with its comprehensive portfolio of end-user devices, provides the most cost-efficient solution for a bank. Together with a team from FeSC, with its strong local network, and Todos’ competitive product portfolio, we will take a leading position in Taiwan.”

Todos has previously received orders from HuaNan Bank, Cosmos Bank and Taipei Bank. [end]
