More mobile RFID: Sybase's iAnywhere cuts interference

“More and more companies are starting to scale their RFID solutions to the point where they require multiple RFID readers and antennas in close proximity with one another, which often results in interference.”

So says Martyn Mallick, director of RFID and mobile solutions, iAnywhere, a Sybase subsidiary. “The ideal way to address this is to coordinate the readers to work better in dense reader mode.”

iAnywhere’s RFID Anywhere 2.1 comes with the ability to control the readers by time slicing and GPIO, “enabling the most efficient network possible.”

The latest version supports for both fixed and handheld RFID devices, say the folks at iAnywhere. [end]

American Express has announced that it is adding its Consumer, Open Small Business and Serve cards to the Isis Mobile Wallet platform.

American Express now joins Chase, Capitol One and BarclayCard in enabling its card holders to make NFC payments and collect rewards using an Isis-enabled mobile phone.
