Ceelox provides a strong biometric authentication with Ceelox ID Online to eliminate identity fraud online

Tampa, FL– Ceelox, Inc., a leading provider of biometric security software for enterprise networks and commercial applications, is proud to announce its latest release of Ceelox ID Online, a strong biometric authentication solution to meet recent guidelines issued by the Federal Financial Institutions Examinations Council (FFIEC) requiring financial institutions to move beyond single-factor authentication in the verification of user identity.

With Ceelox ID Online, an enterprise can quickly add strong biometric authentication to their existing online security measures. Enterprises that are currently utilizing user names and passwords alone or “single-factor” authentication may be providing unauthorized individuals the ability to gain access to sensitive internet sites or networks. While adding a strong second factor of authentication, Ceelox ID Online will allow only authorized individuals’ access to their critical data. This will also provide a strong audit trail of user identity. Ceelox ID Online will provide an enterprise an accurate record of who is accessing their critical data and when.

“Ceelox is proud to offer this release of Ceelox ID Online to the market,” said Kass Aiken, president & COO of Ceelox. “Nearly 2 million American internet users have experienced identity fraud since 2003 which has resulted in the loss of more than 50 billion dollars to businesses and consumers,” added Aiken. “Ceelox ID Online addresses this challenge head on by providing additional layers of security to meet the growing demand for strong multi-factor authentication, encryption and identity security.”

Ceelox has chosen to focus their solutions around biometric authentication because it provides the highest level of security with the least complexity for the user. Passwords alone offer poor security. Simple passwords are easily hacked, while complex passwords are easily forgotten. Even tokens or smart cards can be lost, left at home, loaned to a friend, or stolen.

Of all the methods for logical access security, biometric authentication provides the only unique, unmistakable signature of who and individual is. With Ceelox solutions, no one can impersonate an identity and gain access to sensitive files. No other security method is as simple and secure.

Ceelox’s mission is to develop and market biometric security software products that are simple to implement, deploy, and use. Security software should never make the user feel incapable of using it. Ceelox focuses their attention on building powerful, easy to use applications that will provide the best enterprise and customer experience within all levels of an organization.

About Ceelox Ceelox is a developer and marketer of biometric security software products for logical access, identity authentication and file security. Ceelox core applications Ceelox ID, Ceelox Vault and Ceelox ID Online improve employee productivity and reduce information technology administrative costs.
