Solicore's Got a New Slender Power Source

The company today introduced its new High Capacity Flexion(TM) product line, which reportedly deliver more capacity than the standard Flexion(TM) batteries, meet the ISO 7816 flexing requirements, and are UL1642 approved.

The new High Capacity batteries are capable of delivering higher energy and a higher discharge rate at a nominal .38mm thickness. STMicroelectronics developed a new RF testing method that uses electromagnetic waves instead of contact probes to remotely evaluate wafers equipped with RFID ICs.

According to ST, this “contactless” approach results in higher yields, shorter testing times and lower product cost. In addition, contactless testing allows RF circuits to be tested under conditions that are close to the real application conditions.
