Sybase Spruces Up iAnywhere

Sybase announced new enhancements to its iAnywhere RFID management software this week, at Dallas’ RFID World 2007.

Version 3.1 includes betters on-device capabilities for vehicle-mounted terminals.

This featue will allow a network of devices to work autonomously, dramatically reducing the amount of data that needs to be communicated back to enterprise servers. [end] 

Stollmann and ARS Software have announced a partnership to develop a simple, secure method of pairing Bluetooth devices via NFC.

According to the partners, NFC can allow two Bluetooth devices to pair by simply touching them together, thus eliminating the need for user input and making the process quicker, easier and more bug-proof.
