Bent Systems and GlobeRanger Partner for Enhanced Operations

Bent Systems, which runs an on-demand, global RFID network and application service, and Globeranger, which makes RFID Edge software, today announced a partnership to help customers speed up operations.

By utilizing Bent’s EPCIS-Savant Network service and GlobeRanger’s iMotion Edgeware Platform, they’ll more easily be able to ghater data, monitor devices and IT systems, and implement change. [end] 

The Richardson Police Department in Texas has deployed an RFID asset management system powered by GlobeRanger’s GR AWARE application.

The RPD solution runs on GlobeRanger’s iMotion platform which enables data capture from current and the next generation of devices. This allows the department to electronically scan and catalog inventory, and obtain real-time visibility on critical assets ranging from weapons and uniforms to radars and cell phones.

Cubic Transportation Systems has been awarded a $65 million deal, through its Australian division, to provide for passenger rail operations in Sydney.

The three-year contract includes expanded operations, maintenance of ticketing equipment, infrastructure and delivery of associated services by Cubic to RailCorp (Rail Corporation New South Wales). The contract includes provisions to be extended within two one-year options for services.
