Assa Abloy AB said it has acquired the Irish RFID firm Aontec Teoranta for an undisclosed sum, according to a news report from Thompson Financial posted to Forbes.com.

Assa Abloy reportedly said Aontec Teoranta is one of the world’s largest suppliers of RFID inlays for electronic passports, mainly to European passport printers and security integrators. [end]
