It looks like a robot – and does almost as much!

NJM/CLI’s newest RFID Integrated Model 400 System integrates a Zebra RFID printer and verification scanner with the NJM/CLI Model 400 Print & Apply Labeler. Both are modified to automatically remove bad tags/labels prior to label application on products.

The anchor of the RFID Integrated Model 400 System is NJM/CLI’s field-proven Model 400 Print & Apply Labeler, a rugged machine with top quality components designed to withstand the most challenging 24/7 production environments.

RFID Integrator: NJM/CLI Introduces New High Speed RFID Integrated Model 400 System To Encode, Verify And Apply RFID Tags To Cases And Carton 7/14/2007

NJM/CLI introduced the High Speed RFID Integrated Model 400 System at Pack Expo Vegas. The new RFID case labeling system reliably encodes, verifies and applies RFID tags at speeds up to 50 cases/cartons per minute. NJM/CLI has achieved this high speed by designing the system to use rolls of labels that are oriented head-to-toe rather than the traditional side-to-side orientation.

By configuring the Model 400 labeler to handle head-to-toe labels, the shorter side of the label – the height – is fed to the tamp pad to maximize the speed of the system, while the system applies the label to the case or carton in the correct orientation with the length of the label across the case. In addition to maximizing the speed of the system, this configuration also improves ergonomics because the label roll is on the vertical plane and lower to the ground.

NJM/CLI can configure the RFID system for different communication compatibilities, including Ethernet connectivity, to achieve interactivity with upstream and downstream equipment.
