AuthenTec and AT&T Partner to Provide Free Webcast on Biometrics Enterprise Mobile Security

AuthenTec and AT&T are partnering to present a free Webcast, “Biometrics in Enterprise Security” August 23rd from 1:00-2:00pm Eastern. The Webcast will feature Andy Germano, AuthenTec’s Director of Wireless Segment Marketing and is geared at developers, IT staff and security professionals. The topics covered will include the history and use of biometrics in mobile platforms, the use of biometrics in enterprise mobile security and an overview of developer tools. AuthenTec and AT&T to Present on Enterprise Mobile Security Solutions

AuthenTec’s Director of Wireless Segment Marketing, Andy Germano, will be a featured speaker during the free webcast, designed to educate developers, IT staff and security professionals on the use of biometrics in enterprise mobile security. Mr. Germano will explore the history and use of fingerprint biometrics in mobile platforms, provide an overview of AuthenTec’s patented TruePrint® technology, review a Windows Mobile integration case study and provide an overview of developer tools available.

Envoy Data Corporation announced a partnership with biometrics developer Zvetco Biometrics that will see Envoy offering Zvetco’s fingerprint scanners to its clients.

The biometric readers now carried by Envoy have been designed with both convenience and performance in mind for use in the enterprise, financial, health care, gaming and retail industries. The new partnership means an expanded product list and more options for Envoy’s clients and an expanded customer-base for Zvetco.

AuthenTec has announced that its AES850 smart fingerprint sensor has been integrated into a new Fujitsu smart phone, the REGZA Phone T-01D.

With AuthenTec’s AES850, the Android 2.3-based phone can be locked and unlocked via a quick scan of the user’s fingerprint. The sensor can also be used to control access to applications on the phone as well as provide greater security for NFC-enabled mobile payments.
