Optimum Biometric Labs launches the BioUptime Appliance

Optimum Biometric Labs (OBL) launches its BioUptime Appliance. This product is a monitoring system aimed for increasing the value of biometric solutions considering operational reliability, availability and maintainability. In conjunction with this launch, OBL also releases the white paper “Reliability, Availability and Maintainability in Biometric Applications - Delivering Quality of Service that Customer Wants.” The white paper is available for download.

Karlskrona, Sweden — Optimum Biometric Labs (OBL) launches its flagship platform, the BioUptime Appliance, after years of intense research and development. The product is a monitoring system aimed for increasing the value of biometric solutions considering operational reliability, availability and maintainability.

ActivIdentity has modified its AcivID Credential Management System (CMS) appliance to contain the industry’s new Commercial Identity Verification (CIV) credential.

Developed by the Smart Card Alliance Physical Access Council, the PIV-level credential is designed for commercial enterprise use and replaces the PIV-C concept. Identity protection provider Yubico reported a successful 2011, with increased customer growth and revenue across geographical regions.

Yubico increased its customer base by 90% to 18,000 and won new clients, including government contractors, e-governments and cloud service providers.
