Augusta Cozies Up to Microsoft BizTalk

Augusta Systems, a provider of intelligent enterprise network technologies, today announced a strategic relationship with Microsoft Corporation to support streamlined integration of data from sensors, video cameras, and other edge-of-network devices into Microsoft BizTalk Server RFID.

Augusta Systems(R) announced the relationship at Microsoft’s Worldwide RFID = Solution Days event.

“Through our collaboration with Augusta Systems, BizTalk Server RFID users have access to integration solutions for data from a host of edge devices important to business operations,” said Anush Kumar, Senior Product Manager for Microsoft BizTalk RFID. “The result will be rich solutions for BizTalk Server RFID users to advance enterprise security, monitoring, automation, and asset-tracking initiatives.” [end] 

Computerworld US reporter Jonathan Hassell has published a review of Microsoft’s Forefront Identity Manager (FIM) 2010 on Techworld.

Microsoft’s FIM product automates the identification lifecycle process. Its features that make it stand out from its competitors are a self-service Web portal and a compatibility with existing Web standards that allows it to function with many other systems.
