HID Global and ASSA ABLOY Identification Technologies merge

HID Global has joined with the ASSA ABLOY Identification Technologies. The merged organization will now operate as one company: HID Global. The overall objective of the merger is to strengthen the value proposition to their customers by optimizing the combined resources and capabilities of HID Global and ITG, specifically in the areas of technology development, innovative identity solutions and enhanced worldwide delivery.

In the short term, HID Global customers will continue to receive the same products and services, as well as have the same sales and support contacts. HID Global channels will continue to see the Sokymat and OmniKey product brands through this transition. [end]

During the event, HID and its parent company ASSA ABLOY examined the growing market opportunities as access control goes mobile to deliver new ways for the industry to create, use and manage secure identity.
