Club Sentry selects SecuGen fingerprint readers for biometric check-in

Club Sentry has chosen SecuGen’s Hamster fingerprint readers for integration with Club Sentry’s club management software. The Hamster readers will be used to scan fingerprints of members when they check-in and check-out through Club Sentry’s Biometric ID software module.

The Biometric ID module interfaces with the Hamster fingerprint reader and Club Sentry’s Base Module that provides basic functionality a membership organization would need to track members, residents and employees. Club Sentry Software was founded in Northport, New York, in 2002. [end] 

In an effort to streamline passenger security, Jakarta, Indonesia’s Soekarno-Hatta Airport has opened the country’s first biometric immigration gate.

Fingerprint biometric identification provider BIO-key International, Inc. and Oakwell Engineering Limited partnered to create the new gate, designed for use by passengers with electronic passports. Passengers submit their e-passports and authenticate with a fingerprint.

SecuGen announced that the General Services Administration added two of its fingerprint scanners to the FIPS 201 Evaluation Program Approved Products list.

The solutions, which are both compliant with the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Personal Identity Verification FIPS 201 standard, are the Hamster IV v2 fingerprint reader and ID-USB SC/PIV v2 combined fingerprint and smart card reader.
