IdentiPHI unveils biometric, smart card software

Austin-based IdentiPHI has issued the new SAFsolution 5 to provide the industry’s the administration of enterprise-wide biometric and smart card security and authentication. SAFsolution 5 tightly integrates with Microsoft Windows Active Directory or similar platforms and supports the market’s range of authentication methods. SAFsolution 5 enables organizations to dramatically improve security by replacing passwords with biometric or smart card authentication methods.

AGNITIO announced the launching of KIVOX mobile, a product for secure authentication in mobile devices using a person’s voice.

During the Voice Biometric Conference held in New York, AGNITIO showed the capabilities of the new software that is able to perform a voice authentication on Android smart phones or tablets without being connected to a network.

Sony has announced that its NFC-enabled Xperia S smart phone will be available in Canada by the end of week.

According to Sony, a limited number of Xperia S phones will be available at Sony Stores across Canada beginning April 17. Canadians can purchase their Xperia S, which is compatible with the Rogers wireless network, directly at the Sony Store.
