Pioneer Petroleum accepting PayPass

Pioneer Petroleum, an independent gasoline retailer in Ontario, is accepting MasterCard PayPass. The retailer is using transaction-processing services from Global Payments Inc. The service enables consumers to pay for goods and services with the simple tap of their payment card, is available at more than 140 Pioneer locations across Ontario. [end] 

Blackpool, a seaside town situated along England’s west coast, has installed a number of Parkeon contactless-enabled parking pay stations.

For the installation, Blackpool Council opted for the Parkeon Strada pay station terminal. This new, solar-powered terminal is equipped with contactless card readers, accepting contactless payment-enabled mobile phones and various wave and pay bank cards.

The UK’s YESpay International and YES-wallet.com have teamed up to build an NFC-enabled cloud-based mobile payments platform.

By integrating the YES-wallet Pouch digital wallet with YESpay EMBOSS payment service, the companies will provide a platform that encompasses e-Money, pre-paid and gift-card payments based on Visa PayWave and MasterCard PayPass contactless standards.

Laks has announced the commercial launch of its watch2pay contactless-enabled wristwatch in the UK.
