Titanium Group introduces facial-recognition Intelligent Visitor Management System

Titanium Group has issued a new product utilizing Titanium’s proprietary biometric technologies, the Intelligent Visitor Management System (IVMS). IVMS is a kiosk-based solution that collects unique facial geometry (skull curvature, skin texture, movement detection, etc.) for comparisons and analysis.

The specialized terminal of IVMS consists of a pair of specialized cameras, which record pattern distortion from different light spectrums. This product has been developed for businesses that experience and manage a large number of visitors each day and require a certain level of security that is non-invasive. [end] 

Suprema announced the release of FaceStation, a face recognition access control terminal with patented adaptive IR illumination technology.

FaceStation is an IP-based biometric access control terminal featuring facial recognition technology which identifies individuals from their facial image features. Conventional face recognition technology contains potential weak points brought by lighting and pose variation. FaceStation’s face recognition technology claims to overcome those issues with its algorithm and its IR illumination technology.

Singapore’s Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) plans to implement a mobile biometric screening device system to help its inland enforcement operations combat illegal immigrants.

As reported in the Straits Times and Today Online, the ICA is investing in MAVIS, the Mobile Automated Verification and Identification System. The handheld system can perform ID and fingerprint and facial recognition biometrics screening without having to bring a suspect into an office.

Face ID 3 is a contact-free computer timeclock that can be used in business or home environments. The system weighs about four pounds and uses facial recognition plus a network of infrared scanners for a surface texture analysis (STA) algorithm.
