MangoMOBILE offers RFID to event marketers

Tuesday, May 20, 2008

MangoMOBILE, a specialist in mobile marketing solutions, has introduced a suite of RFID technology applications designed to assist event marketers and their clients in tracking event-goers and gather information from them.

The application combines a network of hand-held computers, RFID tags embedded in a variety of wearable devices and software to process the gathered data. At an event using the system – a concert, for example – the RFID device unobtrusively tracks a consumer’s activities and interests. Based on this information, marketers can contact the consumer with automated, highly customized marketing messages via email or text-messages.

“For the first time, event marketers can immediately act on a consumer’s demonstrated interest in specific areas of a brand message or product line,” said TJ Person, president of MangoMOBILE. “Transforming what was once a passive marketing channel into an actionable, search-like medium.” [end]
