Cryptomathic gets the gold from Microsoft

Cryptomathic has attained gold certified partner status in the Microsoft Partner Program with a competency in ISV/Software.

The UK-based company is a provider of security solutions to businesses across a wide range of industry, including finance, smart card, digital rights management and government. The e-security provider delivers systems for e-banking, PKI initiatives, card personalization, e-passport, card issuing, and advanced key management.

As one of the requirements for attaining Gold Certified Partner status, Cryptomathic had to declare a Microsoft Competency. Microsoft Competencies are designed to help differentiate a partner’s capabilities with specific Microsoft technologies to customers looking for a particular type of solution. [end] 

Key management system provider Cryptomathic has joined the membership of OASIS (Organisation for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards) as a contributor.

As a member of OASIS, Cryptomathic will be a part of the Key Management Interoperability Protocol Technical Committee and work toward promoting a single protocol for communication between encryption systems and enterprise applications such as e-mail, databases and storage devices.

Microsoft’s Windows 8 will include a feature called Live ID that will enable a user to store any password and then sync it across all other trusted Windows 8 machines, according to a report on theverge.com. Since the Live ID is the only password the user will have to remember, other passwords can be set to long, complex, and unique values that would be otherwise difficult to remember.
