BioLink awarded Microsoft partner status

BioLink, a developer of fingerprint biometrics, has been awarded Microsoft Certified Partner status. This is due to all of BioLink’s products running on Microsoft’s operating systems, including Vista.

Additionally, BioTime, a BioLink product that serves as a biometric time, attendance and access control solution, is built on Microsoft’s .Net framework and uses a Microsoft SQL server to store data. The Microsoft Partner status offers BioLink multiple resources and tools to further promote their products. [end] 

LEGIC Identsystems Ltd expanded its partner network in Southern Europe with the announcement of a joint venture with Spain-based security company Softmachine Systems.

The new affiliation aims to produce contactless access control solutions and installations for multifunctional visitor management including applications for electronic payment and time and attendance.

Microsoft has filed a U.S. patent for a logo that marks a device as NFC-enabled, according to NFC World.

The “Tap and Do” logo (pictured, courtesy of NFC World) will be included on computers and other hardware that feature NFC connectivity, as well as on NFC-enabled computer software.
