Biometry.com AG creates multi-biometric system

Wednesday, July 9, 2008

Swiss biometric security developer Biometry.com AG has announced completion of a new biometric authentication process that combines four different biometric identifiers.

The product, called ComBiom, authenticates via lip and face movement as well as voice and word recognition. A user must first register for the product by speaking the numbers zero through nine into their computer’s microphone while looking at their webcam. ComBiom then stores the user specific data for use as authentication for log-in in the future.

Biometry.com AG is hopeful with this product as they look ahead at the necessity for biometric security available at home. Additionally, they expect the product to be successful due to its user-friendly features and that it requires nothing more than a Webcam and microphone hooked up to a personal computer to utilize the biometric features. [end]
