ATG releases cheaper biometric flash drive

Avalon Technology Group, a developer of biometric technology products, has announced the release of their new eight gigabyte biometric flash drive called the USB Biometric 256 AES Speedster. More noteworthy, however, is that they are able to offer the new product at roughly 30-50% less than competitors’ similar products. [end] 

Imation, a developer of computer technology and accessories, has released a new flash drive with a built-in fingerprint reader, according to a Computerworld article.

While the new drive, called the Defender F2000 Biometric Flash drive, is not nearly the first biometrically secured flash drive available to consumers, but it is the first to achieve Level 3 FIPS 140-2 validation.

Neurotechnology has announced the release of two new software development kits (SDKs) from their MegaMatcher line of offerings. The two new releases, MegaMatcher 4.2 and MegaMatcher On Card 3.0, both offer support for fingerprint, facial and iris recognition to be used either individually or as a multi-factor solution by Neurotechnology’s VeriFinger 6.4, VeriLook 5.1 and VeriEye identification engines, respectively.
