Sinosoft Technology to utilize Fujitsu biometrics

Friday, July 11, 2008

Fujitsu Limited, an IT and biometrics developer, has been tapped to provide their biometrics for Sinosoft Technology’s systems integration. The specific biometric solution chosen by Sinosoft is Fujitsu’s palm vein biometric scanner.

As many of Sinosoft’s customer’s rely on a large number of passwords and codes for different applications, they have reoccurring issues with their clients needing stricter security than password protection can offer as well as frequent forgetting of user passwords.

When looking for a biometric solution to these issues, Sinosoft chose the Fujitsu product as they were impressed with the high accuracy, resistance to falsification, and the fact that no direct contact with the product is required to obtain a scan.

The product has already been deployed and implemented in a number of Sinosoft’s customers’ operations. Now different Chinese government agencies such as City of Nanjing Construction Committee have been able to replace the vast number of user passwords with biometric data and have since eliminate the risk of someone infiltrating
sensitive areas of the operation with stolen credentials. [end]
