Biometric partnership awarded authorization as supplier for Texas

US Biometrics, a biometric solutions developer, and Austin Biometrics, a Texas-based biometric security developer, have been awarded a contract through the Texas Multiple Award Schedule Program to provide biometric solutions to a number of Texas government agencies.

The products will consist of fingerprint recognition systems that will be used for two-factor access control and secure biometric data storage. With this contract US Biometrics and Austin Biometrics will have access to over 200 state agencies and 1,700 local agencies. [end] 

StarChip and CEA-Leti have inked a partnership agreement to develop a contactless front end for smart card applications.

The partnership includes technology and know-how transfer to StarChip. With this combined experience in secure integrated circuit development and contactless technology, StarChip will roll out state-of-the-art smart card products to enable applications in transport, banking and identity.
