Daon attains Oracle partner status

Daon, a provider of identity assurance software aimed at government and commercial organizations, has been awarded certified partner status in Oracle’s PartnerNetwork. Oracle, a technology and software company, awards partner status to organizations who have demonstrated high levels of knowledge of Oracle’s products as well as a commitment to doing business with Oracle.


Achieving partner status with Oracle enables Daon access to Oracle’s products and resources such as education, technical services, marketing and sales assistance.

Daon’s larger joint efforts with Oracle that helped them in achieving partner status include integrating Daon’s biometric platforms with Oracle’s identity management software and Seibel, a case management product resulting from Oracle’s acquisition of the company in 2006. Both integrated products have resulted in systems that enable for better access control, identity services and credentialing. [end] 

Oracle has released a new version of Oracle Retail Point-of-Service that aims to increase security, operational efficiency and functionality in part by integrating biometrics.

Oracle partnered with DigitalPersonal to add integrated biometrics to the POS package. Users of the software will login using their fingerprint, which will replace the need for PINs or passwords. This feature intends to reduce fraud by eliminating the possibility of unauthorized employees using a manager ID or swipe card to access the POS and approve overrides.

The product, called ConfidentID Mobile, provides in and out-of-band identity authentication for transactions in multiple channels, including online and mobile.

The integrated system consists of Evigia’s EV3 platform and will be used to track the physical locations and monitor the status to help ensure the safety and security of nuclear materials during processing, storage and transport.
