SkyeTek launches MetaFi sales chain application

Monday, August 25, 2008

SkyeTek Inc., a Colorado-based provider of embedded RFID solutions for field-based applications, has introduced MetaFi, an application service for sales chain optimization. The new sales chain application enables manufacturers to improve the visibility of goods as they move from the factory to customer locations, providing accurate, real-time data on field-based inventory and employees.

MetaFi integrates RFID and wireless technologies to automatically collect, analyze and act on data from mobile field representatives and remotely located smart containers including cabinets, totes and shelves. The increased visibility should result in better inventory tracking, increased sales productivity, faster invoice-to-cash cycles and quicker removal of expired or defective products.

SkyeTech has traditionally focused on RFID-embedded platforms for field-based applications. MetaFi is opportunity for the company and its customers to make better use of the data streams provided by RFID readers already installed in customers’ field operations for other purposes, offering a turn-key application to manage inventory throughout the sales chain. [end]
