CPI acquires PCC

CPI Card Group has acquired UK-based PCC, a plastic card manufacturing, personalization, and fulfillment company serving Western Europe. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

CPI, a commercial card producer, made the acquisition to meet its growing international needs. “Adding PCC’s two facilities in the UK will provide increased flexibility for our customers’ international plastic card requests,” says Ted Fick, CPI’s president and CEO. [end] 

StarChip and CEA-Leti have inked a partnership agreement to develop a contactless front end for smart card applications.

The partnership includes technology and know-how transfer to StarChip. With this combined experience in secure integrated circuit development and contactless technology, StarChip will roll out state-of-the-art smart card products to enable applications in transport, banking and identity.
