L-1 spends $175K in lobbying fees

L-1 Identity Solutions Inc. spent $175,000 in the second quarter to lobby Congress, according to an Associated Press report.

The identity firm’s lobbying efforts focused on funding for the departments of Defense and Homeland Security. The company also petitioned on Census Bureau matters as well as secure credentials.

The Emirates Identity Authority announced the test launch of the registration e-form on its web site for the national ID card. Applicants will be able to avoid lines at registration centers by using the online service to fill ID forms, pay fees and get an appointment for biometric screening, according to TechZone360.com
