Arab RFID 2008 offers regional focus

Arab RFID 2008, a conference scheduled from October 12 through Oct. 15 in Dubai, will feature a roster of international RFID experts looking at the state of the global industry, as well as a selection of regional case studies exploring the impact of RFID in the Middle East.


Conference speakers will include representatives from Boeing, Michelin, Metro Group, and Savi Technology, as well as MIT and the International RFID Business Association. On a more local level, RFID case studies from regional organizations such as the Qatar Post, the Dubai Municipality and Saudi Arabia’s King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals will be explored. The conference will also feature two Master Classes offered by the RFID Technical Institute.

The conference is organized by TCQ Triangle and will be held at Dubai’s Moevenpick Hotel. It is sponsored by wireless solutions provider TagStone, Depco Systems, the International RFID Business Association, GS1-EPCGlobal and the Supply Chain and Logistics Group (SCLG). [end] 

GlobalPlatform announced that it will hold a two-day card specification training session March 1-2 at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas.

Directly preceding CARTES North America 2012 (March 5-7, Las Vegas), the training session will aim to educate CARTES delegates and other participants on the importance of GlobalPlatform Specifications, their capabilities and functionality.
