Legiant announces new biometric time clock technology

Tuesday, September 16, 2008

Legiant, a provider of time and attendance software, has announced the addition of biometric time clock solution HandPunch GT-400, developed by biometric terminal supplier Schlage, to integrate with their own Legiant TimeCard technology. The new system, which is based on new technology, is able to eliminate buddy-punching via biometric clock-in, but additionally brings a variety of employee self-service features to the clock station.

At the station an employee is able to approve their time card, view their schedule, submit leave requests and check their vacation and sick time accruals. Additionally, the system uses an open architecture to allow for future upgrades, speed implementation of the technology and simplify integration. [end]

Legiant has announced a partnership with biometric technology developer Fulcrum Biometrics that yielded a low-cost biometric time and attendance tracking solution for employers. The new solution is called FbF Timeclock and utilizes a virtual time clock that an employee clocks in or out via a USB fingerprint scanner connected to a computer and integrates with Legiant’s Timecard software.
