Savi, Litium Mobile team up to crack Scandinavian market

Tuesday, October 28, 2008

Savi, an RFID-based supply chain solutions provider, has announced a partnership with the Sweden-based consulting firm Litium Mobile Applications. The partnership teams Savi’s technical expertise with Litium Mobile’s marketing connections throughout Scandinavia in hopes of capturing a portion of the region’s RFID market.

Savi, a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin, has a focus on the defense industry. The company has created RFID-based tracking networks at more than 4,000 locations in at least 45 countries, including the United States, Poland, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Australia; as well as NATO installations. Litium Mobile is a division of the Swedish IT firm Litium Affarskommunikation AB specializing in the marketing of mobility and visibility solutions.

The two companies have previously worked together on projects for the Swedish Armed Forces and Denmark Ministry of Defence involving Savi’s Consignment Management Solution for tracking in-transit supplies. [end]
