BlueStar adds Confidex product line

BlueStar Inc., a distributor of RFID products and other related technologies, has added Conifdex’s family of UHF Gen2 RFID tags and specialty labels for asset tracking to its product line.


Confidex, headquartered in Finland and with offices in Europe, North America, and China, produces specialty RFID tags for a wide variety of applications, from the Pino, for tracking wooden pallets, to the Corona, designed for the automotive industry and able to withstand the environmental challenges of painting processes specific to that industry. Confidex also produces a line of RFID-enabled tickets for mass transit applications.

BlueStar is based in Florence, Kentucky, with operations throughout North America and in Europe. In addition to RFID solutions, the distributor offers point-of-sale, Auto-ID, and mobility products. [end] 

VASCO Data Security International Inc. launched a version of MYDIGIPASS.COM for consumers to authenticate and securely log in to Web sites and Web applications.

The product adds strong user authentication to tens of thousands of online B2B and B2C Web-based applications. Using a soft- or hardware client device, such as DIGIPAS, dormant embedded DIGIPASS, DIGIPASS+ devices and smart card enabled national ID cards, MYDIGIPASS.COM can secure consumer online accounts. With MYDIGIPASS.COM, consumers only have to log in once to access all activated sites.

Biometrics firms Morpho and AOptix have formed a partnership to deploy advanced biometric systems targeted to border management and aviation security industries.

Under the terms of the partnership, AOptix products will be integrated into Morpho’s border management product line. This includes InSight Duo, AOptix’s combined face capture and iris recognition system.

The U.S. Social Security Administration contracted with Experian to add fraud prevention services for secure authentication to access the new online Social Security Statement.

The new online Social Security Statement provides Social Security earnings and benefit information, as well as estimates to help people plan for retirement. It also gives estimates for disability and survivors benefits. With the online statement, users can see whether their earnings are accurately posted to their Social Security records.

UK-regional bus group Bluestar has launched a new transit card for discounted weekly and monthly travel on its network, according to Southern Daily Echo.

The new card enables cashless fare for any service on the Bluestar Network in Southampton, Eastleigh and Winchester. It also supports travel on Wilts & Dorset buses and Southern Vectis on the Isle of Wight, both of which are owned and operated by Go-Ahead Group.
