Zvetco’s new reader capable in extreme environments

Friday, December 19, 2008

Zvetco Biometrics, a developer of biometric technologies, has announced the release of the Verfi M5000, a new USB-connected fingerprint reader. The new reader is based on Zvetco’s Verifi P5000, though the M5000 touts a rugged build that is capable of operating in extreme environments.

Some of the capabilities the M5000 are its one-to-many identification as it can compare any one sample to nearly endless samples stored in a database. The reader features a high-resolution sensor from UPEK that enables detailed images. [end]
