Sixth annual RFID World Asia announced

Wednesday, January 21, 2009

The RFID World Asia 2009 conference has scheduled for April 22 to 24 in Suntec, Singapore. The conference, now in its sixth year, is one of the RIFD industry’s largest events in the Asia Pacific region, and will host speakers from a variety of major companies, industry groups, and government agencies.

RFID World Asia will also showcase a specialized RFID application that is becoming increasingly popular at this type of event, an asset-tracking solution in which attendees are the assets. Using the Microsoft BizTalk RFID platform as its base, the application will track the movements of convention-goers, displaying them in real-time via on-screen avatars at strategic locations throughout the exhibition hall.

More traditional features of the convention will include a two-day executive conference-within-a-conference, one specially designed master class, and a three day RFID trade exhibition featuring global RFID solutions providers and other vendors.

RFID World Asia 2009 is sponsored by Terrapinn Pointe Ltd. in partnership with GS1 Singapore. [end]
