New distributor enters North American RFID market

Thursday, February 5, 2009

Transportation and logistics services provider Liaison Can/U.S. Courier Inc. has launched a new company, Can/U.S. Enviro-RFID, dedicated to the distribution of RFID solution components and integrated solutions. The new enterprise plans to offer a broad range of RFID products and services to value-added resellers in the United States and Canada.

A spokesperson says the distributor will address a perceived vacuum of the RFID industry, a lack of the sort of supply channels which the information technology and point-of-sales industries have. “The new RFID distribution channel will bring RFID technology to incremental value-added resellers and their customers,” says Mark Shapiro, Executive Director of Business Development for Liaison Can/U.S. Courier. “It is rare to find a complete RFID solution available from one distributor.”

One early distribution client for Can/U.S. Enviro-RFID is Adasa Inc., a maker of mobile RFID label encoders and dispensers. The company is actively seeking additional partners for distribution deals. [end]
