Fluensee updates AssetTrack software platform

Wednesday, February 11, 2009

Colorado-based Fluensee has announced an updated version of its AssetTrack RFID-enabled asset management software platform. The new version, AssetTrack 4.0, offers a number of new features, including integration with Google Maps and on-demand, real-time asset inventory accessible from any Web browser.

AssetTrack’s new Google Maps function essentially extends asset visibility beyond the borders of a specific business enterprise, allowing the tracking of mobile inventory and assets. With appropriate automatic identification technology, customers can receive data about a particular asset and including a detailed map location; the application lists alerts associated with the assets on the map, and lets the user know about asset status and condition. The functionality also supports and extends asset visibility to mobility-based solutions.

The system’s on-demand inventory function enables one-click access to the real-time location, status and condition of all enterprise assets. In addition to helping organizations save time and labor costs associated with manual physical inventories, the function gives users the ability to quickly see location changes or new events that might affect their operations, enabling them to make quick decisions if necessary. The asset data stored in AssetTrack 4.0 can be accessed from any web browser.

This version also allows customers to perform physical inventory, audits and asset searches in the field, supporting a wide range of handheld platforms including rugged industrial passive RFID readers, mobile active RFID readers, and Windows mobile handsets.

Fluensee AssetTrack 4.0 is available for limited release at the end of February and will be generally available at the end of March. As is the case with all of Fluensee’s software solutions, the platform is available as either a hosted software as a service model or a standard software licensing model for customers who prefer to host the solution themselves. [end]
