Barcoding Inc. plans RFID center

Thursday, March 19, 2009

Barcoding Inc., a provider of enterprise-wide mobility solutions, has announced plans to open an RFID technology center. The center, which will be located in Baltimore near the company’s headquarters, will serve as a research and design laboratory for RFID data collection technology and as a staging center for configuring large scale integration projects.

The 6,000 square foot center will enable Barcoding Inc. to expand its RFID integration and repair center. It will also increase the company’s ability to integrate enterprise-wide systems away from the customer’s deployment site, delivering a pre-configured data collection solution with minimal fuss. The new center increases Barcoding Inc.’s Baltimore footprint by 60%.

Barcoding Inc. executives point to an unusually large pool of technology talent in Maryland as a factor in its expansion. State statistics claim it is home to the second largest concentration of professional and technical workers in the U.S., as well as one of the country’s largest proportions of engineers per capita. [end]
