GAO goes around in circles with new antenna

Canada’s GAO RFID Inc. has launched a new portable UHF RFID antenna. The new antenna is designed for any applications which require circular polarization for transponder reading or excitation.

The new antenna, GAO product number GAO 326001 operates in the 902 to 928 MHz band. It is compatible with most GAO readers which use the same frequency range.

The antenna is also encapsulated within glass-fiber reinforced plastic, making it waterproof and acid-resistant. [end] 

Smart Packaging Solutions (SPS) announced that its SPS EBooster technology has been recognized with 15 additional Visa and MasterCard certifications obtained in 2011.

SPS EBooster technology enables smart card manufacturers to deliver dual-interface cards - contact & contactless - to financial institutions issuing banking cards. This ensures smart card manufacturers are able to adapt to market demand and that they are able to deliver banking cards fitting all customer requirements.

Smart Packaging Solutions (SPS) announced it is ready to deliver its to smart card products to manufacturers in China.

This, following the Chinese Government, along with People’s Bank of China (PBOC) confirmation that all banking cards in China would use smart card technologies by 2015. PBOC has already published the specification for these cards, called PBOC 2.0, which includes the certification scheme.
