UK ID project may be at risk

If the Conservatives come into power next year they are threatening to kill the UK Identity Scheme, according to a news report at Silicon.com. The political party has urged a group of technology vendors not to sign contracts for work related to ID cards, as the party will scrap the scheme if it is elected to power.

Russian government delays universal card project

Russia has pushed back the launch of its universal eID card to January 2013, reports The Moscow Times.
